Italy: NUS – CAME Group International Internship Programme


What is this p
rogramme about?

Established in 1972 in province of Treviso, Italy, CAME Group is an Italian family-owned company with 15 office branches around the world including USA, the UK, Germany, Spain, Belgium, China, United Arab Emirates and India. CAME Group is leader in the field of automation, security and control of residential and collective environments and large public facilities.

In 2011, CAME Group celebrated 40 years of operation. The Group’s core products are in the areas of Home Automation, Building Automation, and Access Control.

CAME Group is looking for a NUS undergraduate student to work as intern at BPT (Brevetti Plozner Rorino). BPT is the newly –acquired business unit of CAME Group that specializes in security alarms, fire prevention, and video surveillance systems.

When does the programme take place?

1 September - 13 December 2013

(Students will need to apply for a Leave of Absence in order to participate in the internship).


Where does the programme take place?

Pordenone (near Venice), Italy


What is the internship content?

Academic credit MAY be available. Credit for the internship is strictly at the student’s discretion. Students interested in obtaining credit must work with their faculty for credit mapping. A list of SEP faculty coordinators and administrators can be found here. IRO does not apply for credit transfer on the students’ behalf.

Below are estimated living expenses for a 3-month internship in Pordenone, Italy.

Is financial assistance available?

A monthly stipend of 500 Euro will be provided. Intern can apply for the NASA Enhancement Awards through IRO.

What are the eligibility requirements?

Students majoring in Engineering. 
CAP of 3.0 or above
Students in year 1, 2 and 3. Students in their graduating semester are not eligible.  


Is visa required?

Students are to consult Embassy of Italy in Singapore to determine if a visa is required and to apply for an entry visa if needed.
