Vietnam: Internship Programme at Ascendas Services Co. Ltd

What is this programme about?

Ascendas is a global company headquartered in Singapore with 23 offices worldwide. It is Asia’s leading provider of business space solutions, with an annual revenue of S$ 329 million in 2012 and staff strength of 900. Ascendas serves a global clientele of over 2,400 customers in 30 cities across 10 countries. Ascendas has Asset Under Management of S$12.9 billion as well as Area Under Management of 53.4 million sq ft. Its flagship projects include the Singapore Science Park, International Tech Park Bangalore in India, Dalian-Ascendas IT Park in China and Carmelray Industrial Park II in the Philippines.

In Vietnam, Ascendas has partnered with Protrade Corporation, a prominent Vietnamese state-owned enterprise to create Ascendas-Protrade Singapore Tech Park (AP Singapore Tech Park), a superior quality business address in Binh Duong, Vietnam.

What is the internship content?

  • Design and Environment
  • Engineering

 

What is the intern accommodation?

Interns will be responsible for sourcing for their own accommodation for the duration of the internship. IRO/Ascendas may be able to provide leads for accommodation.

Is financial assistance available?

Interns will receive stipend from Ascendas.

What are the eligibility requirements?

 
  • Students who have completed at least one year of study at NUS prior to participating in this programme.
  • Students should not be in their graduating semester prior to participating in this programme.
  • Students majoring in the following areas:
    • Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (Communications and New Media)
    • School of Business (Business Administration)
    • School of Design and Environment (Architecture, Project & Facilities Management, Real Estate)
    • Faculty of Engineering (Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)

 

Is a visa required?

Yes. The company will assist in providing documentation needed to apply for a visa.

Students are to consult the Embassy of Vietnam in Singapore to determine if a visa is required and to apply for an entry visa if needed.
