AIESEC Global Community Development Programme
What is this programme about?
AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-run organisation focused on providing a platform for youth leadership development and offers young people the opportunity to participate in international internships, to experience leadership and to participate in a global learning environment.
The Global Community Development Programme is a 6 to 12 weeks community development internship in one of the following fields: Cultural education, HIV/AIDS’s general education, Community development, Environmental awareness, Social entrepreneurship and Tourism promotion. Internships are focused on creating impact in the host environment; working with NGOs, schools or charities on the front line.
AIESEC Singapore runs the Global Community Development Programme to create a positive impact in society while connecting students to the local realities of different communities.

When does it take place?
December & May to July semester breaks for six to twelve weeks.
Where does it take place?
Internships are offered in a variety of regions around the world. The majority of the internship placements are clustered in the following regions, although this list is not exhaustive.
You will have choice over your preferred region:
Africa:
Uganda, Tanzania, Cameron, Nigeria, Egypt
Asia:
China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Philippines, India, Thailand and Malaysia
Central and Eastern Europe:
Poland, Turkey, Russia, Romania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine
South America:
Brazil or Colombia
What is the academic/intern content?
Internship positions offered through AISEC are multi disciplinary with a choice of the following fields:

What is the student accommodation?
Accommodation would be provided free of charge or coordinated (to be determined by AIESEC).
How much does it cost?
SGD415 + SGD100 Deposit*
Flights, insurance and visa costs are not included
*Deposit will be refunded to students upon completion of the programme.
Is financial assistance available?
Students participating in this programme are eligible to apply for the NASA Enhancement Bursary / Scholarship. Please visit this webpage.

What are the eligibility requirements?
Eligibility would be decided by AIESEC.
Is a visa required?
Yes. AIESEC will assist in providing documentation needed to apply for a visa.
Students are to consult the Foreign Embassy in Singapore to determine if a visa is required and to apply for an entry visa if needed.
