IRO is pleased to announce yet another exciting internship opportunity in the US for NUS students! US Arts international Training Program provides placement and internships for international and U.S. students with arts and culture related organizations to complete valuable on-the-job training placements in the business, visual and performing arts fields in the United States.

Previous host organizations include the prestigious Smithsonian American Art Museum, The Julliard School, San Francisco Opera and American Chamber of Commerce! For a list of current host organizations, please visit the US Arts website.

USArts sponsors international interns and trainees for the J1 Intern and Trainee visas and monitors both American and international interns and trainees throughout their training placements. They accept applicants from a wide variety of performing and visual arts as well as business management and communication fields. From 2002 onward, USArts has sponsored over 400 participants.

Please visit www.usartstraining.org for more information.

How to apply

Interested students should apply directly through the US Arts website.

Students are encouraged to apply right away and allow at the very minimum two months before they expect to begin their internship. US Arts reviews applications on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Financial matters

Successful candidates will have to cover an application fee (USD 100) and participation fee (USD 945) associated with the placements. All other expenses, including housing, airfare, health insurance and living expenses are at the student’s expense.
