The Cross-Cultural Internship Program (CCIP) now calls for student applications
About CCIP:
The Cross-Cultural Internship Program (CCIP) is now accepting student applications for the 2009 program. Taking place in New York every summer from May to August, CCIP is an internship program emphasizing East-West cultural exchange and is designed for students who demand both a hands-on and cross-cultural experience. It provides participants a new glimpse of another culture's approaches to business challenges and helps participants build an internationalized portfolio, and strike a balance between hard and soft skills.

Fusia Communications

Fusia Communications, Inc. specializes in in-language, in-culture marketing, and training. A fusion of the East and West cultures, it is one of the few agencies in the US dedicated to cross-cultural communications.
Health Network Monitor

Health Monitor is one of the largest health/patient-education media company in U.S. Their mission is to facilitate the communication between patients, caregivers, doctors, and other healthcare professionals. They deliver health information to patients and caregivers in a trusted environment where they can act on that knowledge.

YU & Associates, Inc. (YU) is a diversified consulting firm with proven accomplishments in transportation, education and health care facilities and urban redevelopment for public and private sector clients. YU’s clientele ranges from institutions and redevelopment agencies to highly rated architectural/engineering firms.

* The program fee covers internship placement, basic support plus a 30-min SIM card, airport pickup, training plan write-up, emergency support, activity and training.
Payment Schedule:
The first installment is due upon placement confirmation in February; the second installment is due in April.
FIRST INSTALLMENT ($770): Due upon placement confirmation in February, the first installment covers $150 of the placement/administration fee, 2 months of health insurance ($70) and the full amount ($550) of the visa sponsorship fee.
SECOND INSTALLMENT ($2510): Due right after the Consulate visit in April, the second installment covers $550 of the placement/administration fee and the full amount ($1960) for housing. For students planning to stay at University Place, the $1960 housing fee will be due by 13 February 2009.

Selection Criteria and application procedure:
General selection criteria: Students should be either in their 2nd or 3rd year upon application, have good academic standing (CAP of 3.0 and above) and possess professional and good work attitudes.

Step 2: Make sure that you're financially qualified
Step 3: Discuss with and receive support from your parents
Step 4: Register an account; fill out the application form (3 parts) and upload the required documents
Registration will take place from Jan 19 to Feb 28, 2009. Many positions especially those with a stipend fill up very quickly so students are encouraged to apply ASAP.
