Overseas Student Programme (OSP) Loan

Overseas Student Programme (OSP) loan is offered to all NUS students who are successful applicants of NUS approved overseas programmes. The loan is for helping students cover all expenses incurred during the course of overseas stint.


Awards & Scholarships for NUS Students

The following links provide detailed information on the various awards and scholarships for student exchanges, as well as the entry requirements. Students wishing to be considered for awards and scholarships must submit all supporting documents along with their applications by the respective application deadlines.

There are many other awards available from partner universities and students are advised to check with the country managers in charge.

Caltech-NUS Surf Pogramme

Study at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and get mentored by the best and brightest in your field


DSTA ACE Scholarship

DSTA is offering scholarships to Singapore citizens who are interested to go to the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden for one to two semesters of exchange and are interested in a defence-related career after graduation. Application is by invitation only.

Deadline for Application: 18 March 2008 (Application is by invitation only)

DUO Singapore Exchange Fellowship Award

This award is for students from ASEAN-member countries and who are going to a university in the EU for student exchange. Applications are now open.

Deadline for Application: 31 March 2008

Fulbright Association (Singapore) Student Exchange Award

Award available for one NUS student on the Student Exchange Program (SEP) to a US university in Academic Year 2008/2009.


IE-Singapore NUS Internship Award

Support NUS students on internship to Central Asia, China, India, Latin America, the Middle East, Russia and Vietnam.


Italian Scholarship For NUS Students/Alumni

The Italian Government is offering scholarships to Singapore citizens who are current undergraduate/graduate students and/or alumni of the National University of Singapore to pursue academic/student exchanges, research programmes and graduate studies at approved Italian universities.

Applications are now open.

Deadline for Application: 15 May 2008

JASSO Scholarship, Japan

The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) Scholarship provides students with a monthly stipend of 80,000 yen (approximately S$1,087 and a one-time settling-in allowance of 150,000 yen (approximately S$2,039)

NUS Awards for Study Abroad (Exchange Awards)
also known as NASA (Exchange Awards)

810 awards range from $500 to $4,500 each will help finance your semester or year overseas at one of the world’s premier institutions under the NUS Student Exchange Programme (SEP) promoted by the International Relations Office (IRO).


NUS-UBC Lee Foundation Student Exchange Award

Study at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.


TF-NUS LEaRN Programme and Award (up to $4000 for NUS students and $6000 for overseas students) is now open for application!

The Temasek Foundation - National University of Singapore Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking (TF-NUS LEaRN) Award is funded by the Temasek Foundation to promote student exchanges between NUS and partner universities in ASEAN, India, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The award is open to NUS undergraduates who are Singapore Citizens to spend a semester at ASEAN partner universities as well as undergraduates from partner universities in ASEAN, India, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to spend a semester at NUS.

Application Deadline:
Semester 1 (August to December) - 15 April of the year
Semester 2 (January to May) - 15 September of the year

The John W Nason Postgraduate Scholarship at Carleton College

Study at Carleton College, a liberal arts college in Minnesota, USA


U21 Scholarship for Korea University

Students going to Korea University for regular exchange are eligible to apply for a one-time amount of US$250 (approximately S$394) per semester, up to two semesters. Students going to the Korea University International Summer Campus (ISC) programme are eligible to apply for a one-time amount of US$200 (approximately S$316).
