IARU Global Internship Program @ The University of Tokyo
The IARU Global Internship Program aims to provide IARU students with the opportunity to gain valuable international work experience by conducting high-impact research and projects in another member university. Such internships enable students to gain real insights into their host university and provide an exciting platform to build cross-cultural understanding.
Programme Description & Objectives

Internship Description |
The purpose of the program is to provide participants with biomedical research experience in the basic and translational sciences. Research projects will be posted on a separate webpage of C2CNB as shown above. The program is open for graduate students who already have laboratory experience of at least one year. The selected student will actively participate in ongoing research activities. At the end of their summer experience, students will submit their research data in a journal article format. An “End of the Program Presentation” is also planned to provide opportunity for the participating students to present their results to a group of faculty members and graduate students. During the two months period, participating students will be given the opportunity to acquire research skills and, through participation in institutional seminars and lectures, receive information that will be valuable in assessing their career goals in relation to basic and translational researches. |
Programme Schedule
The date for the internship is from 1 July to 31 August 2013.
Programme Expenses
The intern is responsible for all personal expenses, including their airfare and accommodation. There is no funding given by the host university.
Application Criteria
To be eligible to apply for the IARU Global Internship Program @ The University of Tokyo, you must be a current enrolled degree seeking student at NUS and have completed at least one full year of university study, and be fluent in English.
