1. Assistant Manager/Senior Executive (Marketing & Communications)
NUS IRO's Marketing and Communications (Marcoms) section is responsible for the following:

Organizing and taking part in key events such as International Exchange Day, NUS Open House, country days etc. to promote student exchange and global opportunities to NUS students. There are about 10 of such events held each year.
-
Host visits to NUS by partner universities and other academic institutions, and promote NUS to foreign visitors. There are more than 200 of such visits to NUS each year.
-
Maintain the IRO website and develop collaterals/publications to increase the visibility of NUS' student exchange and global opportunities programmes.
-
Organise and participate in Overseas Conference to increase and gain market share.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage requests and be the hospitality manager to coordinate visits to NUS from partner universities and other academic institutions.

Manage and monitor post-visit feedback, and also report monthly and yearly visit numbers.
-
Manage media requests for information, and develop communications materials for media engagement.
-
Develop and manage IRO website and social media, including updating of content, designing and ensuring user friendliness.
-
Organise key events in NUS to promote student exchange and global opportunities programmes.
-
Ensure IRO branding is maintained for all events, visits and communication materials.

Requirements:

A good Bachelor's degree, preferably in mass communications or international relations.
-
4 - 6 years of relevant working experience in corporate communications, visits and events management, publishing and/or journalism.
-
Proven capabilities of managing the media, social media and website development.
-
High level of proficiency in written and spoken English and Mandarin. Proficiency in a third language will be an advantage.

Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
-
Excellent team player, with good inter-cultural competency and sensitivity.

2. Executive (Global Education) - Temporary
IRO's GE section administers NUS' SEP with overseas partner universities, and also develops collaboration with potential partner universities. Within the section, the Section Head oversees a team of officers who are each responsible for administering and developing collaboration with the partner universities and regions/countries under their purview.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist IRO's global education managers in administering exchange students to and from NUS.
-
Plan and organize student events within NUS, and other collaborative events with overseas partner universities and/or foreign missions, to encourage students to go on student exchange.

Assist in research on partner universities.
-
Support the IRO global education student experience team in analyzing student survey responses.
-
Provide programme advising and support for incoming and outgoing exchange students, including group briefings and presentations.

3. Assistant Manager/Senior Executive (Global Opportunities)
To develop and manage NUS’ short-term global programmes, and provide support services to NUS students going on these overseas programmes
Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of new IRO short term global programmes in Northeast Asia(overseas summer programmes, internships, research attachments) for NUS students.

Organize and embark on overseas trips for programme development and attending conferences
-
Manage the budgeting, programme planning and implemenation of the Sino-Singapore Undergraduate Exchange Programme
-
Assist in the administration of student applications for IRO short term global programmes.
-
Assist to organize events and give talks for students going on short term global programmes, such as pre-departure briefings, faculty info sessions etc.
-
Assist to update and report about global opportunities information and programme data as necessary.
-
Provide support for visits by or meetings with IRO global opportunties partners.

Requirements:

Recognised University Degree with 3-5 years of relevant work experience

Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Good organizational capabilities with an eye for detail

Team player with good planning, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
-
Overseas experience especially in Northeast Asia (i.e. China, Korea or Japan) will be an advantage
-
Experience working in the higher education sector will be an advantage
-
Ability to deal with educational as well as commercial partners
