I would encourage Australian undergraduates to consider coming to the law faculty at NUS for exchange because it is one of the best law schools in Asia. NUS Law faculty offers a fantastic range of electives from Chinese Law to Vietnamese Law to Indian Law. As Australia strengthens its engagement with Asia, such knowledge of legal systems in Asia will prove invaluable for future lawyers who desire to work in Asia.

Singapore is also a fantastic gateway to the Asian region, where flights to Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines are within a 2-3 hour radius of Singapore. Within a 5-hour radius, you could fly to places like China, Hong Kong and Vietnam.

Singapore has long been a meeting point between East and West, and is naturally the best place to live in to understand the Asian culture and way of life.
