NUS-UBC LEE FOUNDATION STUDENT EXCHANGE AWARD

About the Award:

This award was created in 2003 through a generous donation from the Lee Foundation to help fund NUS students on exchange to University of British Columbia (UBC).

UBC has been a close partner of NUS and both universities share comparable education standards and similar internationalisation goals. Both are recognized as leading research-intensive universities in their own right. Over 200 students from both NUS and UBC had participated in the student exchange programme between the two institutions in the last 8 years.

Why study at University of British Columbia (UBC)?

UBC has:

Surrounded by ocean, mountains, and evergreen forest, UBC's campus is a spectacular environment in which to live and learn. It is only 20 minutes away from the downtown core of one of the world's most culturally dynamic cities - Vancouver.

How much is the Award?

The quantum of the award varies from year to year and helps to cover the cost of airfare, accommodation and living expenses. Details on the quantum of the award and other terms and conditions are listed in the application form. Scholarship holders, subject to approval from their scholarship providers, may receive a top-up subject to a pre-determined cap.

How to apply for the Award?

To be eligible for the award, you have to be selected by your faculty or school to go on student exchange at UBC and be accepted by UBC as an exchange student. Applicants will be interviewed by a selection committee to determine if they qualify for the award.

The International Relations Office will inform faculty SEP administrators to contact eligible candidates when the application period opens.
