A group of 20 students, together with NUS Law Associate Professor Eleanor Wong as Academic Advisor and Mr Eugene Cheah from NUS Global Relations, travelled on an inaugural Study Trips for Engagement and EnRichment (STEER) trip across the Balkans from 17 to 29 June. NUS President Professor Tan Eng Chye was in Beijing, China from 4-6 May 2018 for the World University Presidents Forum & Beijing Forum 2018. The Forum is a platform for university presidents to discuss changes and best practices in university management. At the event, President Tan emphasised the roles of university president that include areas creating a vision and developing strategies; recruiting, developing and retaining the best talents; and providing resources to enable these talents during his address.

The annual GRO Appreciation Tea took place at The Waterway on level 1 of Shaw Foundation Alumni House on 24 April 2018. This is the platform where GRO expresses its appreciation to the partners from various departments in NUS for their help and support in the past year. More than 100 people attended the event and the guests had the opportunity to visit the Global Lounge that was recently launched earlier this year.
The Student Exchange Programme (SEP) team at International Relations Office (IRO) conducts a series of Pre-Departure Briefings in each semester to prepare students for their overseas exchange adventure.
