Loans for Outgoing Students

 
 

NUS has various schemes in place to assist eligible students in funding their approved overseas educational programmes. The type and quantum of the loan offered as part of the financial aid package to a student who applies for financial aid will depend on the assessed needs level. Upon satisfactory compliance of all terms and conditions of the financial aid offer, funds in respect of the same will be credited to the student's account with the Office of Financial Services. All fees due to the University will however be deducted from such proceeds prior to crediting.

Overseas Student Programme (OSP) Loan

Overseas Student Programme (OSP) loan is offered to all NUS students who are successful applicants of NUS approved overseas programmes. The loan is for helping students cover all expenses incurred during the course of their overseas stint.

Overseas Student Exchange Programme (SEP) Loan

The Overseas Student Exchange Programme (SEP) Loan is available to NUS Exchange Students. The loan provides up to a maximum of $3,000 per semester and is interest free for the full duration of the loan (inclusive of the repayment period). The quantum of the loan is subject to the assessed Per Capita Income (PCI) which is based on the monthly household gross income.
