In conjunction with the Executive Programme on Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Singapore and Italy (CSTC, Italy-Singapore), NUS is proud to announce that students of Italian origin can apply for the NUS Research Scholarship to pursue graduate studies by research at the master level at the National University of Singapore.

The Scholarship carries a monthly stipend of S$1,500 and, subject to available fund, a full research fee subsidy. No travel or other allowances are provided. The Scholarship is tenable for one year (12 months) in the first instance. Renewal of the Scholarship may be considered upon another application and on a case-by-case basis. Other terms and conditions may apply.

The scholarship application deadline is 15th November 2012. Please note that the Programme application deadline may be earlier, please refer to the respective NUS Faculty / School website for Programme application deadline.

| Scholarship Application Procedures |

|
Applicant must:
-
Apply for an NUS master level Research Programme. Research Programme application should be submitted online. Information for Programme application can be found here. Programme with August intake is strongly encouraged and please refer to the respective NUS Faculty / School website for Programme application deadline.

Apply for Research Scholarship by completing the application form for the NUS Research Scholarship for Italian citizens. Click here to download scholarship application form;

Submit the Scholarship application form together with the required supporting documents (as per the Scholarship application checklist) and a printed copy of the submitted Research Programme application to the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rome for endorsement;

Send the endorsed forms and the supporting documents to the NUS International Relations Office through the Ministero degli Affari Esteri or its representative overseas missions (i.e. Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Singapore);

Due to the lengthy time needed in processing, please prepare all necessary documents early. Kindly allow sufficient time for your application package to arrive in Singapore from Italy.

To avoid any delay in your application evaluation, please ensure that you have thoroughly completed the application forms and attached all necessary supporting documents before submission.
Note:
The award of the NUS Research Scholarship for Italian Citizens is dependent on:

- the applicant's successful enrolment to a master level Research Programme at a NUS Department
- competition from other eligible Italian applicants.
|
After the release of the application outcome by the Graduate Divisions (about 2 to 3 months prior to the beginning of the semester), candidates who are successful in their application for admission to a Research Programme and are short-listed for the NUS Research Scholarship for Italian Citizens will be contacted by the NUS International Relations Office to complete the formalities for the award of the Scholarship.
