Awards & Scholarships for Incoming Students


The Student Exchange Programme is a once in a lifetime opportunity for students from NUS’ partner universities  to experience life and university in Singapore, and NUS recognizes that some students may need financial assistance in order to participate.  NUS works hard to provide funding opportunities to those students in need and the International Relations Office is proud to present the awards and scholarships below to incoming international students from their partner universities for their Student Exchange Programme.

ANZ Singapore-New Zealand Scholarship Programme

The ANZ Singapore-New Zealand Scholarship Programme offers students from New Zealand the opportunity to study and work in one of the world’s busiest financial hubs.

Asia is emerging as the world’s economic centre and students with aspirations to work in banking and finance will benefit from understanding how these markets work.

The Scholarship is a jointly-funded Programme between ANZ New Zealand and ANZ Singapore. Each ANZ country will contribute two Scholarships per annum. Each Scholarship consists of NZD 15,000 provided to each Scholarship student. The Scholarship is for one semester or up to five months per term.

ANZ will offer each student a three-month paid Internship.

DUO-Singapore Exchange Fellowship Awards

Financial assistance provided for incoming exchange students from the European Union for one semester or one year of studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

NUS-UBC Lee Foundation Student Exchange Award

This award was created in 2003 through a generous donation from the Lee Foundation to help fund University of British Columbia (UBC) students to come on exchange to NUS.  The Lee Foundation encourages educational endeavors overseas and recognizes the strong ties between NUS and UBC.

Research Scholarship for Italian Citizens 

In conjunction with the Executive Programme on Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Singapore and Italy, students of Italian origin can apply for the NUS Research Scholarship for Italian Citizens to pursue graduate studies by research at the master level at NUS.

Temasek Foundation Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking
(TF LEaRN) Programme 2012@ NUS

The Temasek Foundation Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking @ National University of Singapore (TF LEaRN @ NUS) is funded by the Temasek Foundation to promote student exchanges between NUS and partner universities in ASEAN, India, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The programme is open to NUS undergraduates who are Singapore Citizens to spend a semester at partner universities in ASEAN, Japan, South Korea, India, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan as well as undergraduates from partner universities in in ASEAN, Japan, South Korea, India, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to spend a semester at NUS.
