Awards & Scholarships for Incoming Students
DUO-Singapore Exchange Fellowship (DUO) (for Incoming Students)
The Fellowship is awarded by the Singapore government to promote student exchanges between NUS and European ASEM* members. The Award, based on merit, is for a pair of exchanges between a university in Singapore and its respective partner university in Europe in any academic field. Full-time undergraduate students from Singapore and ASEAN** members states going to European universities on the student exchange programme (SEP), and undergraduate students from partner universities in Europe coming to NUS on exchange, are eligible to apply for the DUO.
Each selected undergraduate student will be awarded 4,000 euros for one semester or one year of exchange, which will partially subsidise the cost of airfare, accommodation, living expenses, etc. This award carries no obligatory bond period.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the availability of the MFA DUO-Singapore Fellowship Award for AY 2014/2015 is not confirmed. Confirmation would be made known by Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in Apr/May 2014. Interested applicants should still submit their applications by the stipulated deadline to qualify for the award should it be available.

The completed application package should be submitted to the NUS International Relations Office no later than Friday, 28 March 2014. Please note that this deadline applies to ALL students going on SEP in Semester 1 and/or Semester 2 of AY 2014/2015.

The award is very competitive with hundreds of applications for the selection of three pairs of incoming and outgoing students. As such, only shortlisted candidates would be informed. Those who do not receive any notification by mid-June can conclude that their applications have been unsuccessful.
