Italian Scholarship for Alumni
 

In conjunction with the Executive Programme on Cultural, Scientific and Technological Cooperation between Singapore and Italy, the Italian Government is offering scholarships to Singapore citizens who are current undergraduate/graduate students and/or alumni of the National University of Singapore to pursue academic exchange programs, research programs, and graduate studies in approved Italian universities.

Current NUS students and alumni can also apply for the Italian language and cultural courses subject to a minimum stay of three months.

The award of the Italian Scholarship is based on merit and preference will be given to:

  • applicants who plan to pursue academic exchange programs or graduate programs in Italy;
    and/or
  • applicants who have some knowledge of the Italian language
 
Eligibility
 
  • Be an alumni
  • Be a Singapore citizen
  • Be less than 35 years old
Provision
 
  • a monthly allowance of about 700 Euros
  • return airfare
  • health cum accident insurance coverage (excluding pre-existing illness and dental prostheses)
Period of Utilisation
 

The Italian Scholarship must be used between October of this year and September of the next.

The following Italian universities have student exchange agreements with NUS for undergraduates:

  • Politecnico di Milano (for Architecture students only)
  • Università Commerciale 'Luigi Bocconi' Milan (for Business students only)
  • Università degli Studi di Trento (ASE3 Programme for Engineering/Computing/Science students)
