Dr Andy Sierakowski completed his BSc and PhD at The University of Western Australia and carried out Post-Doctoral work in the UK and Switzerland. In 1980, he joined Kodak Australia in Melbourne as a Group Leader R&D. He has considerable experience in commercialising his and co-workers inventions, including intellectual property that has been either patented or kept as trade secrets. He has co-ordinated large technology transfer and commercialisation projects for Kodak on a worldwide basis and has extensive knowledge of product development processes.

Dr Sierakowski gained wide experience with Kodak working in manufacturing, technical marketing, and quality assurance in Australia, France, Asia and the US.

From 1992 to 1997, he was Business Unit Manager of Kodak Professional with responsibility for Australia and New Zealand with a sales turnover in excess of $100 million. He has experience in setting up joint venture companies and acted as Executive Director of such companies.

In 1998, Dr Sierakowski returned to Perth as General Manager of Joyce Rural, an agrichemical company and a subsidiary of Joyce Corporation. This role encompassed R&D, sales and marketing, manufacturing, logistics and distribution functions.

In January 2001, he joined The University of Western Australia and heads up the Office of Industry and Innovation. He is also on the Board of two UWA spin-off companies.

Dr Sierakowski is the current Chair of Knowledge Commercialisation Australasia (KCA).

He was Chief Executive Officer of Aromascan plc (now named Osmetech plc) from 1994 to 1998 and has first-hand experience of delivering an early start up company through to a successful listing on the Official List raising 12 million Pound in development capital from blue-chip investors and valuing the company at 27 million Pound. Allan has worked within the venture capital community and managed several start up companies in analytical and diagnostic technologies.

Dr Andrew T. Serafini is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group of Fenwick & West LLP, a law firm specializing in technology and life sciences. Dr. Serafini is resident in the Seattle office, and his practice focuses on strategic and comprehensive intellectual property counseling and management to biotechnology, biopharmaceutical and other life sciences clients, to help them obtain, protect and enforce their intellectual property rights, especially in the areas of immunology, molecular biology, molecular genetics, genomics, proteomics and protein chemistry, pharmaceuticals, medical therapeutics, nanotechnology, cleantech and medical diagnostics.

Dr. Serafini’s practice involves preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patents; performing due diligence and freedom to operate analyses associated with mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and other private and public financings; drafting opinions on patentability, non-infringement and patent validity; product development counseling; contesting interferences, oppositions and arbitrations; and supporting technology litigation.

Dr. Serafini works closely with the venture capital community to help build life sciences start-up companies into industry market leaders. He also partners with public and private universities and research institutions to help safeguard, leverage and bring to market their technology assets and innovations as well as facilitate the technology transfer of these assets and innovations to foster further developments to benefit the public.

Dr. Serafini received his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1998. Prior to law school, he earned a Ph.D. in Immunology from the Stanford University School of Medicine in 1994 and his B.S., with honors, in biochemistry from the Case Institute of Technology of Case Western Reserve University in 1986.

Mr Barry Drayson has built a career at the forefront of financial and technology expansion on three continents. As a foreign exchange and Eurodollar broker, he developed European relationships that underpinned the expansion of London as the World's premier financial centre. He came to Singapore and played an integral role in developing Singapore as Asia's offshore banking hub. He transferred to New York, opening key broking operations in that market. After 10 years, he was appointed CEO of MKI Securities Corp.

Barry spent the 1990's with Reuters PLC as Managing Director, Global Sales and Marketing. Barry's work resulted in all 1,000 of the world's largest banks using Reuters information and transaction services to support their trading operations. Since 2000, Barry has been involved in private equity start ups. Barry is CEO and a founding shareholder of NanoComposites Inc., a Texas based nanomaterials company and Chairman and founding shareholder of Paramata Ltd., in Cambridge, England, a developer of sensing technologies. Barry is in Singapore to establish the key collaborative relationships with universities, their professors, the Singapore government and agencies, local funding organisations and corporations. NanoHoldings will establish a branch office in Singapore in 2009 and will run its Asia Pacific and Middle Eastern businesses from here.

Dr Chan is the Chairman of Innoheart, a pre-clinical Contract Research Organization based in Singapore. InnoHeart is a privately funded CRO that is focused on supporting the pre-clinical research and development activities for the Med-tech and stem cell industries. Its Singapore facility has imaging capabilities for orthopedic, cardio, vascular and neurovascular studies, a full fledged histo-pathology laboratory and an animal holding unit.

He has also foundered a healthcare and life science consultancy company based in Singapore which specializes in transition management, including start up and turnaround situations, for private sector hospitals and biotech companies.

Prior to being an entrepreneur, he has been in healthcare management for more than 15 years. He has worked in the public, private and military medical institutions over the years and served in various senior management positions and sits on the board of several private healthcare service companies.

As a healthcare leader, Dr Chan has served as the acting Executive Director and Group CEO of Hospitals, Pantai Holdings Berhad, Malaysia. His other hospital management experience involves being the CEO and GM of hospital in Singapore under Parkway Healthcare. He was also an Advisor to Mubadala Development Company, a diversified investment and development company owned by the government of Abu Dhabi.

Dr B K Chan received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore and his Master of Business Administration (Honors) from the University of Chicago.

Prior to joining 360ip, Don held a leadership role in IBM's Technology and Intellectual Property organization and has served in IP management positions at Dupont Company, Univation LLC (an ExxonMobil/Dow joint venture), Exxon Mobil and BASF /University of Mainz, Germany. As part of his broad IP experience, Don has been active in all aspects of managing patent processes, licensing policies, intellectual property portfolio management and transferring complex intellectual property to the market. He has developed successful management, commercialization and business strategies for intellectual portfolios and has led negotiations for business expansion of over US$1billion. He has also been involved in patent drafting and publishing, including 24 issued patents. His credentials include expertise in manufacturing, energy and material science. Don holds an M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and a B.S. with honors in Chemical Engineering from University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

He is presently Professor of Materials Science & Engineering and Chair, School of Materials Science & Engineering. He is also Chairman of Nanofrontier Pte Ltd, Amaranth Pte Ltd, and sits as board director in three of the start ups he has founded, Amaranth Medical Inc (USA), Electroactiv Inc (Singapore) and Adcomp Pte Ltd (Singapore). He is also Deputy President, Materials Research Society, Singapore and is currently Chairman for ASTAR's Review Panel for Public Sector Funding . He is an invited panel member for the National Science & Technology Award, the EDB / SPRING PoC Funding Panel.

He has started up 3 companies in the Biomedical Device arena. He has patents licensed to Biomedical companies in USA/Singapore, and is technical consultant to several Biomedical & Advanced Materials companies. He has previously graduated more than 20 Ph Ds and presently supervises another 12 and 6 postdocs. His collaborators include Northwestern University, Caltech Bioengineering Dept , Mayo Medical Center at Rochester, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, CEA Saclay, UCLA's California Nanosystem Inst. He has won > $22m research grants last 6 years, with the latest being a prestigious $10M individual National Research Foundation CRP Grant on Fully Biodegradable Cardiovascular Implants, a $1.25 M from the NFR Translational Flagship Project on Occular Devices and a $5M Defense Science Organization funding for a new Advanced Functional Materials.

Dr Jeffrey Wang was awarded his first Ph.D from Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1989, then further pursuit his second Ph.D from National University of Singapore. he is a specialist in geotechnical area with more than 20 years practicing time. He is also the fellow of Charted Management Institute (FCMI), UK, since 2006.

In 2001, Dr. Jeffrey Wang initiated to start his own business, i.e. Tritech. After few year efforts, Tritech has become a public listed group of companies with leading capacity in geotechnical area in Singapore. Dr. Jeffrey Wang is the Managing Director of Tritech Group Limited, Amid impressive competition, Dr Jeffrey Wang, Managing Director of Tritech Group companies won the "Best Entrepreneur Award - Faculty of Engineering" in the 2nd NUS Entrepreneurship Awards held on 3 September 2007, for his company's sustainable competitive advantages, the result of remarkable knowledge management, management philosophy, innovations, capacity and market presence.

The visionary grew Tritech from start-up in 2001 to its current comprehensive engineering group with an audited turnover of over S$31m per annum as at March 2008. Mr Jon Sandelin graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Chemistry in 1962, then served four years in the U. S. Naval submarine service. He then returned to school, obtaining an MBA from Stanford University in 1968. He returned to Stanford in 1970 as the Financial Officer and then later as the Associate Director of the Stanford Computer Center. Jon was recruited to join Stanford's Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) in 1984, where he has been responsible for licensing all forms of intellectual property, including inventions, computer software, and university trademarks. Jon has served as a consultant on the licensing of research-related inventions to other universities, non-profit research organizations, and governments, and has provided services for clients in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Africa, Arab League, and Latin America. He is the author of over 20 published articles on technology transfer through licensing and has given workshops, seminars, and presentations on this topic throughout the world. Jon served two terms as a Vice President of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), where he was responsible for developing AUTMs overseas relationships, and is Past President of the Association of Collegiate Licensing Administrators (ACLA). Jon converted to Emeritus status on March 1, 2003. He retains an office at the OTL, where he works on selected projects for Stanford University. However, most of his time is now devoted to helping other regions of the world better understand the process of converting ideas and innovation into products and services to create jobs and strengthen economies.

Dr Jon Soderstrom is currently the Managing Director of the Office of Cooperative Research at Yale University. The Office manages the intellectual assets created at Yale to achieve the maximum benefit for the public and provide a financial return to support the University's research efforts. He is responsible for (1) developing and managing the intellectual property portfolio, (2) defining and executing commercialization strategies including negotiation of licenses and corporate-sponsored research agreements, and (3) development and marketing of business concepts for new spin-off ventures to the investment community.

Since joining the Office in 1996, he has participated in the formation of more than 25 new ventures including polyGenomics, Molecular Staging (acquired by Qiagen), Agilix, Asilas Genomic Systems, Achillion Pharmaceuticals (NASQ: ACHN), PhytoCeutica, Protometrix (acquired by Invitrogen), Iconic Therapeutics, Applied Spine Technologies, HistoRx, VaxInnate and Affomix. Collectively, these companies have raised over $350 million in professional venture capital.

Prior to this position, Dr. Soderstrom was the Director of Program Development for Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) after serving for ten years as Director of Technology Licensing for Martin Marietta Energy Systems. In the Office of Technology Transfer, he directed a group of ten professionals responsible for negotiating licenses and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs).

Dr. Soderstrom was a founding board member and past president of the Association of Federal Technology Transfer Executives as well as a member of the Licensing Executive Society and Association of University Technology Managers where he is the 2008 President, has served as Vice President for Public Policy and a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He is frequently asked to lecture and teach seminars on various aspects of the technology transfer process and economic development both within the United States and abroad. He has testified before Congress on technology transfer issues and served as an expert witness in patent infringement litigation.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Dr. Soderstrom was honored as the 87th "Point of Light" by President George H. W. Bush in March of 1990 for his volunteer activities helping to construct and rehabilitate low-income housing in East Tennessee.

Dr. Soderstrom received his Ph.D. from Northwestern University in 1980 and his B.A. from Hope College in 1976.

Dr Harrison is an Assistant Professor at the S.Rajaratnam School of International Studies and Head of Terrorism Research at the International Center for Political Violence and Terrorism Research. He was also the Coordinator for the Transportation Security program at the Center for Excellence in National Security. He is one of the leading specialists on aviation security and is the Associate Editor of The Journal of Transportation Security. He has made presentations at many international conferences His book International Aviation and Terrorism is due to be published in March of 2009 with prestigious Routledge Political Violence, and his chapter, Aviation Security Practice and Education: 1968 and Onward, in Aviation Security Management [Three Volumes] ed. By Dr Andrew R. Thomas, Praeger Security International, has been published. In addition his chapter "The Changing Face of Aviation Terrorism" was publication in Dr Gunaratnas's book The Changing Face of Terrorism. He has briefed a wide range of government and private sector bodies and is Technical Advisor to Borderpol, the international association for border police. He has also embedded with US forces in Iraq and is due to return to that country at the end of the month.

Dr Harrison holds a PhD in International Relations for St Andrews University and M.litt in International Security Studies for St Andrews, as well as an MA in Political Science from the American University in Washington DC and a BA in Political Science from Wheeling Jesuit University. He has also worked for and on various political campaigns in the US and Scotland.

Dr Juzar Motiwalla has been Board Member/Advisor to several companies that have global footprints including MobiApps (where he is Chairman), SmartBridges, SoftDel, UPEK and Emerio. These companies are based out of the US, India and Singapore and address markets in telematics, security, broadband wireless and IT outsourcing.

He advises Partners Group (a Swiss-based private equity group with CHF 10 billion AUM) on 2 direct investments.

He was Partner, Investments at Green Dot Capital where he was responsible for global venture capital investments. Green Dot Capital made several investments in Asia-wide and US technology companies and Funds.

Prior to joining Green Dot Capital, he was Chief Executive Officer of Kent Ridge Digital Labs (KRDL), a 350 person high-tech laboratory. KRDL incubated 15 start-up companies in Asia and Silicon Valley. To fund these companies US$60 million was raised in Series A and B investments from top US, European, Japanese and Singapore venture firms. KRDL's success in bridging competitive world-class technologies with high-growth markets, received international coverage including feature articles in Red Herring, Asian Wall Street Journal and Time.

He spearheaded the development of several multi-year international R&D partnerships with Apple, HP, IBM, Ericsson and Johns Hopkins. The partnerships were in the areas of mobile wireless, information security, language processing, speech and handwriting recognition, and medical imaging. Several commercial products emerged from this work. The Centre with Apple on Speech and Handwriting Technologies had a joint investment of US$20m.

Previously he was with the Business School at the National University of Singapore, where he taught Business Policy.

Dr. Motiwalla has an MSc(Business) and PhD(Engineering) from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Dr Lerwen LIU is an Asia-based nanotechnology expert specializing in government and corporate strategic services to policy makers and corporate executives. She also specializes in business development and project management for leading nanotechnology companies in their global expansion of R & D, commercialization and market. She has been actively building nanotechnology networks with government agencies, R & D institutions and industries across the world since 1999, especially promoting nanotechnology policy and cooperation in the Asia region. She co-founded the Asia Nano Forum (Singapore based network organization linking 14 Asia Pacific economies) and founded the SingNano network, with the support of A*STAR, EDB and SPRING in Singapore, providing a platform for nanotech government, R & D and industry leaders to collaborate and accelerate commercialization of R & D. Dr Liu is a director of Zyvex Asia managing its operation in Singapore and its Atomic Precise Manufacturing Program (APM). She recently joined the board of director of Nanostart Asia facilitating Nanostart`s Asia investment business.

She is on the advisory board of the first global Nanotechnology Opportunity Report (NOR) published Mar 2002, the most comprehensive market report on Nanotechnology `Nanotechnology Market and Company Report-Finding Hidden Pearls` written by a team of experts from Deutsche Bank and University of Ulm in Germany, and the Nanotechnology Expert Committee of the Malaysian Government Researchers` Directory Exchange (REDEX).

Dr Liu has written (during 2003-2006) over 130 reports providing insights on nanotech policy, R & D and business trends in the Asia Pacific region. Her reports are available at the Asia Pacific Nanotech Weekly (APNW, www.nanoworld.jp/apnw) sponsored by the Nanotechnology Research Institute (NRI) of AIST, Japan.

Dr Liu has PhD in physics specializing in many-body effects and transports in semiconductor nanostructures, and has conducted research work in Australia, Japan, USA and Italy.

Dr Liu is an Australian citizen and currently based in Singapore.

Ms Lita Nelsen is the Director of the Technology Licensing Office at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she has been since 1986. This office manages over 500 new inventions per year from M.I.T., the Whitehead Institute, and Lincoln Laboratory. Typically, they negotiate over 100 licenses, and start up over 20 new companies per year

Ms. Nelsen earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from M.I.T. and an M.S. in Management from M.I.T. as a Sloan Fellow.

Prior to joining the M.I.T. Technology Licensing Office, Ms. Nelsen spent 20 years in industry, primarily in the fields of membrane separations, medical devices, and biotechnology, at such companies as Amicon, Millipore, Arthur D. Little, Inc., and Applied Biotechnology.

Ms. Nelsen was the 1992 President of the Association of University Technology Managers and serves on the board the Mount Auburn Hospital, and the Scientific Advisory Board of the Children's Hospital Oakland Research Foundation. She serves as the intellectual property advisor to the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative and is a founding and current board member of the Center for Management of Intellectual Property in Health Research.

Ms. Nelsen is widely published in the field of technology transfer and university/industry collaborations and was a CMI Fellow at the University of Cambridge with the Cambridge MIT Institute studying university/industry/government partnerships in technology transfer and local economic development. She is a co-founder of Praxis, the UK University Technology Transfer Training Programme.

She has contributed significantly to the entrepreneurship climate of Singapore, having been involved in startups and venture investments; and serving on the boards of several biotech companies.

Previously, she held the post of Managing Director , Bio*One Capital , a fund focused on biotechnology investments ; Deputy Director of the Bioprocessing Technology Center, a research center funded by the Agency for Science Technology and Research; General Manager of Genelabs Diagnostics and Diagnostic Biotechnology; Quality and Technical Manager of Singapore Biotech, a company involved in Hepatitis B vaccine manufacturing; and she has held research positions at Tufts University and the National University of Singapore. During her tenure at Diagnostic Biotechnology and Genelabs, she developed a portfolio of virology products for the company, some of which have become the industry standards for the confirmation of retrovirus infections.

Matthew has over 15 years experience in the electronics & semiconductor industries, having held several management positions with different multi-national corporations from America, Europe and Japan.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from National University of Singa-pore, and has advance readings in Masters of Science (Electronics) from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), as well as executive management education from Babson College (USA) and IMD (Switzerland).

Dr. Michael Quah has just joined the Energy Studies Institute (ESI) as a Visiting Principal Fellow and the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS) as a Visiting Fellow on a short-term assignment. He is on a leave of absence from his position as Executive Director /Corporate Technology Fellow in Concurrent Technologies Corporation, a non-profit R&D and technical services company in the U.S.

Dr. Quah holds the following degrees from Yale University: Ph.D. (1980), M. Phil. (1978), M.Sc. (1975), Chemical Engineering and has a B.A. [magna cum laude] (1974), Chemistry and Physics, from Harvard University. He completed his "O" and "A" levels at St. Xavier's Institution, Penang, where he was the Head Prefect in 1969.

His working career of almost 30 years was primarily in industry, where he worked for the DuPont Company for about 20 years (1979 - 1999), including a stint with DuPont Japan and Singapore (1990 to 1993). At DuPont, Dr. Quah held positions in R&D, product and business development, and management and his technical work revolved around membrane technologies for reverse osmosis, gas separations, and electrochemical processes, the last area stimulating his interest in alternative energy innovations. When Dr. Quah worked for DuPont in North Carolina (1993 - 1999), he also served as Adjunct Professor, Chemical Engineering, at North Carolina State University.

After early retirement from DuPont , he held management positions in several companies: Lydall Technical Papers, Ocean Power, and NextEnergy, all in areas related to materials, components, and devices for alternative energy systems. He has worked as an independent consultant and served in the US Army RDECOM/CERDEC (Research, Development, and Engineering Command, Communications and Electronics Directorate) in 2003/2004, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Dr. Quah is a member of the American Chemical Society and the Association of the United States Army. He is married with two children and he is a lector at his parish church in Farmington Hills, Michigan, USA.

Mr Michael Yap is Deputy CEO, Media Development Authority (MDA). He is concurrently the Executive Director, Interactive Digital Media (IDM) Programme Office responsible for driving the national IDM R&D agenda.

Prior to that, he held dual roles as Managing Director for Oracle Corporation Singapore, and VP Business Development for Oracle Asia Pacific. He was responsible for the company's activities in Singapore and business development across the Asia Pacific region.

Before joining Oracle, Michael was the CEO of Commerce Exchange (Comex). Michael started and built Comex, a software product company, into a regional company with a presence in more than 30 countries in Asia - with offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan and China. He led its successful divestment to public listed companies in India and Singapore.

Prior, Michael was the CEO of National Computer Board (NCB), the national authority responsible for Singapore's overall IT policies and implementations, and a pre-cursor to the present-day Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA). At the NCB, Michael spearheaded various national programs to establish Singapore as an icon for info-communications adoption and innovation in the region. These included the development of the Singapore IT2000 Master Plan, the SingaporeONE (One Network for Everyone) roll out, and the Electronic Commerce Masterplan. He was the key driver behind the SingaporeONE initiative which placed Singapore as the first country in the world with national broadband access.

Michael has also been involved with the venture capital industry as chairman of an investment fund, and was Venture Partner at one of Singapore's most established VC firms.

Michael was on the board of directors of various public listed companies in Singapore and Malaysia. He chaired the national Community Advisory Committee and is a member of the East Asia Business Council. He had served as a board member of several public organisations, including the Singapore Broadcasting Authority, the National Library Board and the Singapore Science Centre. He also chaired the National Information Infrastructure Standards Committee, the Singapore Computer Emergency Response Team (SingCERT), and the Board of Institute of Systems Science, National University of Singapore.

He served in different capacities in Singapore Technologies Group from 1996 to 2002; including Vice President & General Manager in the information technology, electronics and aerospace sectors. Kok Beng is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Singapore; and was elected to the Council from 2002 to 2006. He manages several key medical, pharmaceutical and software inventions arising from CCTEC, Cornell University; WARF, Wisconsin-Madison; PBL, UK, for technology transfer to the Asian region.

Previously, he was with the Commonwealth Division of the Max-Planck-Institute for IP and Competition Law, Munich. As an IP Associate at South Centre, he deliberated extensively on IP issues at the WIPO, WTO, WHO and UNCTAD. He has also provided strategic IP consulting for clients in India, France, US and UK.

He holds a Masters degree in Life Sciences (Calicut University) and a Masters degree in Information Science and Intellectual Property from National Institute for Science Communication and Information Resources (CSIR, India); and has recently completed the prestigious 3TP program in management from the IIM-A.

Professor Paul C. B. Liu is the Director of the Graduate Institute of Intellectual Property (IIP) and Center for Technology Policy and Law at the National Chengchi University in Taiwan. The IIP is established in 2002 and placed within the College of Commerce, which has been long recognized as one of the best business schools in Taiwan and Asia. Moreover, the IIP was the first full-fledge post-graduate program devoted exclusively to the studies of intellectual property issues with interdisciplinary focuses on the law, policy, operations and management of intellectual assets.

Prior to 2002, Professor Liu served as the Director of Graduate Institute of Technology and Innovation Management (TIM), a sister institution to IIP at the NCCU. Under his stewardship, TIM has become one of the most sought-after graduate programs in Taiwan and cultivated many talented business leaders.

In addition to his teaching, research and administrative duties, Professor Liu serves as the advisor of Presidential Science Advisory Council, coordinating many science and technology policies in Taiwan. He is the founding President of the Association of Technology Managers in Taiwan (ATMT) and the incumbent President of Licensing Executives Society Chinese Taipei (LES Chinese Taipei). Professor Liu is also the Vice President for International Relations of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM).

Professor Liu is widely regarded as the pioneer for many science and technology related issues and policy developments in Taiwan and China. He is one of the original architect for the enactment of Basic Science and Technology Law, Taiwan's adaptation of the American Bayh-Dole model. He is also the author of the very first Chinese textbook on computer information law.

Professor Liu is also an honorary professor at various universities and lectures at many institutions around the world, including Peking University and Shanghai University in China, Tokyo and Waseda University in Japan, University of Washington and the George Washington University in the United States. He has been an Affiliate Professor at the Business School of University of Washington.

Born in Taiwan, Professor Liu has been living in Seattle, Washington area for more than 30 years before returning to his homeland. Professor Liu received a Bachelor of Laws from National Taiwan University, Bachelor of Science (in Mathematics), Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Ph.D. in Law respectively from University of Washington.

He moved into various roles in different stage of a product life-cycle in Hewlett Packard from product support, technical marketing, support strategist, and product management for printer products before moving to Agilent Technologies to be the product manager for Automated Optical Inspection and later product marketing manager for a family of manufacturing test equipments. In Agilent, Roland was involve with investigating application of a new technology for wafer bump inspection and numerous market researches to determine market needs and driving product development of test equipments. As Hyflux Director for Technology Commercialisation, Roland is creating a series of mechanisms to support the commercialisation of the research work that Hyflux engages in with a large pool of research engineers & PhDs. His goal is to create a Hyflux commercialisation engine that will be a catalyst for the various research efforts to accelerate their commercialisation. In addition to internal research team, Roland engages university research departments and research institutes to identify technology that are useful for the growth of Hyflux.

Dr. ZHOU ZhiYing, Steven is Assistant Professor with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Director of the Interactive Multimedia Lab, National University of Singapore. He is also the founder and director of MXR Corporation Pte Ltd.

Dr. Zhou received his B. Eng and M. Eng from Southeast University, China in 1998 and 2001. During his master period, Dr. Zhou started his first attempt to commercialize the speech signal processing technology he developed which led to a successful product being used in more than 100 universities and schools in China. Dr. Zhou continued his commercialization venture in his PhD study at NUS since July 2001. In 2004, he filed several patents based on his PhD research and founded MXR Corporation Pte Ltd, a NUS spin-off company which has secured more than S$2.5m investments and grants, aggressively marketed the world first Mixed Reality educational product - wIzQubesTM globally, with offices setup in Singapore, China, and soon in Hong Kong, Malaysia, and USA.

In 2007, Dr. Zhou joined the Department of Electrical Computer Engineering of NUS as an Assistant Professor and Director of Interactive Multimedia Lab, after his one-year oversea attachment being a visiting scientist at University of Southern California, where he carried out research attracting Hollywood's attention including George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. Except for the research excellence, Dr. Zhou's lab also focuses on technology commercialization. The lab has received many prestigious awards like RTT Emerging Technology Award, international Idea2Product competition award. Dr. Zhou was elected to be the "Life-time Fellow" in Education of the World Technology Award 2004, in recognition of the potential long term influence of his invention in Mixed Reality that could change the way the world learns.

Mr Simon Bradley started his career with British Airways, following in the long family tradition - his grandfather was a chief designer at de Havilland on the Comet and then with Imperial Airways and his father flew as Senior First Officer for 35 years with BOAC & British Airways, flying VC-10's and 747's.

After leaving British Airways, Simon was instrumental in the design of the system architecture behind the secure communications platform at No. 10 Downing Street, home of the British Prime Minister and his Cabinet Colleagues. After the successful implementation of the system he joined the United Nations. Based at the traditional home of the UN, at the Palais Des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, Simon was responsible for leading a team that delivered a Distributed Database Solution which enabled reparation payments for victims of the first Gulf War, controlling over 40 Billion Euro in payments.

Prior to joining EADS, Simon was CTO of an internet start-up in London, England. Growing the team from 5 people to 130 in 8 years, Simon developed the technology roadmap which enabled the company to pursue it's ambitious plans to deliver educational software to almost 1 million school children around the world, at a low cost to enable countries from under developed countries to benefit from the use of Internet technologies. At this time he also acted as an expert for the security services - working with MI5 and the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit (NHTCU) in the United Kingdom - specializing in intelligence gathering and fusion of disparate data sources to plot intent and actions.

Simon Bradley joined EADS in 2006 as the Director of the System Design Centre in the UK, responsible for a division that delivers high level technical expertise to business units within the Defence industry. The SDC has responsibility for modelling, simulation and virtual reality solutions in highly secure environments - providing leading edge Systems Engineering resource combined with a deep technical knowledge of areas as diverse as Satellite Communication, Unmanned Arial Vehicles (UAVs) and Command and Control solutions for both military and civil scenarios.

At the start of 2007 Simon joined EADS Innovation Works as Vice President. Mr Han has been the General Manager of PEM since the beginning, in charge of the company's business development, core technical development, marketing and sales, directing the efforts of prototyping core products, piloting and marketing to early adopters, strategizing and achieving market penetration to mainstream customers, building and maintaining marketing and sales channels, developing and setting up internet business model, developing internet marketing strategies, building and managing patents, trademarks and other company core intellectual properties, sourcing for funds, acquiring customers and various other aspects of the business.

Assoc Prof Wee obtained his B.Eng and Dr.Eng (PhD) from Tokyo Institute of Technology, and has been a faculty staff, specializing in Concrete Technology and Building Materials, in the Department of Civil Engineering at the National University of Singapore since 1984. Over the last 15 years, Prof Wee has received more than US$15 million in research grants from NUS, government agencies and private companies.

He has also published many patents in addition to the more than 100 refereed journal and conference papers. Three of the patents under his inventorship have been licensed to an NUS spin-off company, "Singapore-U Technologies" founded by him.

Prof Wee, a registered professional engineer in Singapore, has also been actively involved in many consultations in construction /industrial projects related to concrete technology including acting as Independent Expert in Concrete/Material Technology for projects under LTA, JCPL, CAAS, HDB and URA, etc., and served as Expert Witness internationally and locally.

Tim also founded London based Cientifica Ltd, the world's leading source of global business intelligence about nanotechnologies, Nanosight, a Salisbury based optical nanoscopy company and is one of the worlds foremost experts on commercialisation of technologies, with experience gained in both venture capital and the laboratory.

He has given hundreds of invited talks and keynote lectures on nanotechnologies ranging from economic implications to toxicology. He has been published in journals ranging from 'Nanotechnology' and 'Nature' to "Microscopy and Analysis", in addition to being extensively quoted in media ranging from the Financial Times and The Economist to Time and Business Week. He is also on the editorial board of several scientific journals. He was the co-author of the Nanotechnology Opportunity Report , published in 2002 and described by NASA as "the defining report in the field of nanotechnology."

Tim is an advisor to many organizations around the globe including the World Economic Forum, the European Commission, many of the world's largest companies and national governments. He also chairs the Austrian governments' Nanotechnology funding committee, responsible for funding over 50 million Euro of basic and applied nanoscience projects since 2004.

Prior to founding Cientifica, Mr. Harper worked at the European Space Agency's research and development centre, ESTEC in the Netherlands, where he created and managed the micro and nanoscale characterization facility, one of Europe's earliest nanotechnology labs.

After living and working in the US, Netherlands and Spain for almost twenty years Tim currently lives in central London with his family.

He also oversees the development of system of systems architecture, C4I systems, local defence technological capability and international cooperation at DSTA.

Peng Yam started his career in Defence Science Organisation and had held various appointments in MINDEF and DSTA including Deputy Director of Directorate of R&D, Head of Defence Technology Office in the US and Deputy Chief Executive (Technology) at DSTA.

While in 3i Analytics/IPEXL, he leaded his entrepreneurial team to create a novel Patentmaps.com portal, retailing over 1000 original qualitative-quantitative technology IP reports and he also directed efforts to secure, design and develop the next generation award-winning SurfIP portal. Rex holds a Master of Science (Distinction) from University of Leeds and is a Ph.D. candidate in the field of Technology Intelligence and Finance. He is also certified by the Institute of Patent Attorneys, Australia under the SEAD course organised by FICPI.
