Temasek Foundation International Leadership Enrichment and Regional Networking (TF International LEaRN) Programme @ NUS

With the aim of grooming leadership skills, the TF International LEaRN Programme @ NUS nurtures the next generation of Asian leaders by providing opportunities for cultural exchange, networking, community engagement and leadership development.


Students receive S$6,500 during their exchange at NUS.

15th Sino-Singapore Undergraduate Exchange Programme 2018

The Sino-Singapore Undergraduate Exchange Programme is a prestigious programme spearheaded by the respective Ministries of Education of China and Singapore. It aims to provide Singaporean students with a deeper understanding of China and its potential, and expose students from China to various aspects of Singapore life.

AIESEC Global Volunteer

Present in over 120 countries and territories and with over 86,000 members, AIESEC is the largest global youth-run organisation, impacting the world through leadership development experiences. AIESEC Global Volunteer allows youths to make a positive influence on a local community overseas and gain practical leadership skills while working on issues such as education, culture and social entrepreneurship.

Semester at Sea (SAS)

Add a truly global component to your college education. Operated by the non-profit Institute for Shipboard Education (ISE) and with the Colorado State University as its academic partner, Semester at Sea's worldwide itineraries offer rigorous coursework coupled with field assignments, service learning in over 10 international destinations, and the development of skills necessary to compete in today's rapidly globalising world. NUS students from all faculties have the option of participating in 15-week long semester voyages.

SEP Plus Programme

SEP Plus is a new programme which incorporates a summer programme in China before or after a SEP stint in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan, with the objective of value-adding to the entire study abroad experience.

With the aim of grooming leadership skills, the TFI LEaRN Programme @ NUS nurtures the next generation of Asian leaders by providing opportunities for cultural exchange, networking, community engagement and leadership development.


Students receive between S$5,000 and S$7,000 in Semester 1 or Semester 2:


  • Under the Student Exchange Programme to partner universities in Southeast Asia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan;
  • OR
  • Under the NUS Overseas Colleges programme to Asia.

Semester 2 only:

Yale Visiting International Student Program (Y-VISP)

The Yale Visiting International Student Program (www.yale.edu/yvisp) is an honours programme at Yale University, designed for outstanding undergraduates from Yale's partner institutions. Selected students will join the Yale undergraduate community for a full academic year (junior year). If selected, students will enrol in Yale undergraduate courses and live with Yale students in one of 14 residential college communities. They will also participate in extracurricular activities available to all Yale undergraduates.
