Dr Lim Meng Kin is Associate Professor at the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine; Academic Director of the MBA (Healthcare Specialisation) Program, NUS Business School; Adjunct Professor, A-Star; and Director of Public Health, Association of Pacific Rim Universities World Institute.

He was previously Chief of the Medical Corps, Singapore Armed Forces; Director, Defence Medical Research Institute; Chief Executive Officer, Health Corporation of Singapore; and Board Member of Singapore General Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Changi General Hospital, KK Women and Children’s Hospital, Singapore National Eye Centre, National Heart Centre, National Neuroscience Institute, and Ang Mo Kio Community Hospital.

He is currently Chairman of Healthcare Committee of the Workplace Safety and Health Council, Vice Chairman of the Singapore Red Cross, and Advisory Board Member of the SMA Centre for Medical Ethics and Professionalism. Internationally, he has served on the WHO Western Pacific Advisory Committee on Health Research; consulted for the World Bank, World Health Organization and Asian Development Bank in China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Bulgaria, Lebanon, Kuwait, Egypt, Iran, and West Bank and Gaza; and is editorial board member of Health Services Research, Health Policy Systems and Research, and Asian Journal of Health and Information Sciences. Among his awards are the Public Service Star, Public Administration (Silver) Medal, and NUS’ Special Commendation Award for Teaching Excellence.
