Abstract
Over the next few decades, Asia will be the home of the largest global numbers of urban dwellers and also of the largest numbers of people
facing serious malnutrition. The goal of this session is to raise the issues
of feeding and housing these huge populations in the face of depletion of water and energy sources and potential climate change. The discussants
will help focus attention on robust scientific, technical, and policy approaches that will address the needs for research and action over the next decade. |
