The latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by subject saw NUS ranked among the world’s top 20 in four subjects — Business and Economics; Computer Science; Engineering and Technology; and Physical Sciences. NUS was also ranked 8th in the world for Engineering and Technology.

NUS graduates continue to be among the most sought-after in the global employment market according to the latest Times Higher Education (THE) Global University Employability Ranking announced on 16 November, which placed NUS at the 16th spot globally and 4th in Asia. NUS is also the only Singapore university among the world’s 20 best universities for employment.

Thirteen NUS researchers have been named among the world’s most highly cited, based on Clarivate Analytics’ 2017 Highly Cited Researchers report released on 15 November. This is also the fourth consecutive year NUS has fielded the most number of highly cited researchers among research institutions in Singapore.

NUS has moved up two spots to 22nd in the world in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2018, making this its best performance since the Rankings began in 2004. The University also continues to occupy the top position in Asia, marking its third consecutive year as Asia’s best.

NUS has taken the top spot in the inaugural Times Higher Education (THE) Asia-Pacific Rankings 2017. This comes after the University was placed first in THE’s Asia University Rankings earlier in March, for the second consecutive year.

NUS has continued its strong showing in the annual Reuters Top 75: Asia’s Most Innovative Universities list, maintaining its 11th spot among Asia’s educational institutions doing the most to advance science and invent new technologies. The University continues to be the highest ranked educational institution outside of Northeast Asia.

The latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2018 has placed NUS at 15th in the world, positioning it among the top one per cent of universities globally. The 2018 QS rankings also ranked NUS 11th in the world and top in Asia for Academic Reputation and Employer Reputation, areas which reflect the University’s strong focus on educating future-ready graduates.

NUS has maintained its spot as the top university in Asia, according to the latest Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings, released on 16 March. This is the second consecutive year the University has achieved this feat since the category was introduced in 2013.

NUS was ranked among the world’s 10 best universities in eight subjects including Environmental Sciences, Architecture, Chemistry and Materials Science in this year’s Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject. The University is also among the world’s top five universities in Civil and Structural Engineering, coming in at fifth position.
