Internationalisation@Home Programmes
NUS has collaborated with renowned partners to establish schools and programmes
in Singapore. These collaborations have provided more opportunities for our students
to have a global education and experience without leaving Singapore.
- Singapore-MIT Alliance
Founded in 1998, the Singapore-MIT Alliance (SMA) is an innovative engineering and
life science educational and research collaboration among three leading research
universities in the world: the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Nanyang
Technological University (NTU), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
SMA attracts and retains the world's best graduate talents by offering them an unrivalled
research and learning experience through joint teaching and supervision that transcends
borders. The Alliance will end in June 2014.
- Duke-NUS Graduate Medical
School
Duke-NUS was established in 2005 to complement NUS' existing undergraduate medical
school to increase the supply of doctors practicing in Singapore, and train doctors
who are exposed to clinically-related research.
- Yale-NUS College
Yale-NUS College is a landmark collaboration that will create a new model
of undergraduate education for Asia. In the fast-changing world of the 21st century,
leaders need an education that offers both breadth of learning and depth of understanding.
The College will draw on the best elements of the American liberal arts tradition, but re-shape
and re-imagine the curriculum and collegiate experience for Asia.
