HSIEN WEI:
About Lund and the academic experience…
Lund is a beautiful university steeped in tradition. The Gothic architecture and sprawling greens around campus presented me with an ideal ground to appreciate knowledge. It is no overstatement to claim that my experience with European education has allowed me to become a better student, as well as shaped my academic attitude.

Any final words of wisdom for future exchangers at Lund University…
For students still undecided about exchange, I have only one advice. JUST DO IT! Finance may seem like an insurmountable barrier when you are weighing your options. However, the experience is worth every effort and every dollar. I cannot emphasise enough how good a deal SEP is in terms of “buying” a life changing experience.

Most favourite memory of your exchange…
Travelling everywhere on my bicycle! Even getting to the nearest mall requires you to take a bus!
Any final words of wisdom for future exchangers at Lund University…
> The Swedish people are generally reserved, but they are really nice, so don’t be afraid to start a conversation with them!
|
> Get most of the things you need before going, because the things in Scandinavia are definitely not cheap.
> Cook with your corridor mates! You will get to learn more about your corridor mate and the culture he or she comes from, as well as master a new dish!
> Join a Nation, which is similar to a “House” in Sweden. Go for lunch, help out at the kitchen or bar and interact with the Swedish students.
> Go for any events or festivals that they have! Mushroom picking, thanksgiving dinner, Saint Lucia celebration, a pillow-fight, flashmob - immerse yourself in the local culture!
