The Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) was established
by a Founding Committee consisting of university representatives from thirteen countries/regions
in the Asia-Pacific on 3 December 2004 at Korea University in Seoul, Korea, and
was officially launched in March 2006 during the inaugural APAIE Conference in Seoul,
Korea. The founding members are Griffith University (Australia), Sun Yat-sen University
(Chinese Taipei), Kasetsart University (Thailand), Waseda University (Japan), Korea
University (South Korea), University of Philippines - Los Banos (Phillipines), Brawijaya
University (Indonesia), National University of Singapore (Singapore), University
of Hawaii, Manoa (USA), University of Delhi (India), University of Auckland (New
Zealand), Chinese University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong SAR), and Renmin University
of China (China).

The purpose of APAIE is:

To advance international education in the Asia-Pacific region

To bring greater focus to Asia-Pacific universities throughout the world

To increase the professional quality of international educators
|
APAIE offers membership to any individual of profit and non-profit organizations
or institutions interested in the aims and objectives of the Association.
The Asia-Pacific Leaders (APL) is a non-profit organization established by a Founding
Committee consisting of representatives of the APAIE and universities from fifteen
countries/regions in the Asia-Pacific by unanimous resolution on 17-18 July 2009
at Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia. The mission of APL is to enhance
collaboration, prosperity, harmony and peace in the Asia Pacific region by nurturing
its future leaders through diverse cultural experience, knowledge, wisdom and leadership
grounded in mutual respect.
APL's objectives are to:

and alumni activities

Facilitate the academic exchange program throughout the region

Foster collaboration among education institutions to educate Asia Pacific future
leaders
