How you can give

There are a number of ways you can make your gift to NUS, whether you would like to make an outright, one-time gift or a monthly or annually recurring gift.

If you are making a recurring gift, you can contact us to stop your gift at any time. For recurring gifts by cheque, we will send you a reminder of when it is due.

Credit Card

The fastest and easiest way to show your support of NUS is to make a gift online using a credit card.

You could also call us at (+65) 6516-8000 or 1-800-DEVELOP (1-800-338-3567) if you would prefer to make your credit card gift by telephone.

Alternatively, you could download and fill in the Gift Form (PDF) and mail it in.

Cheque

To make a gift by cheque, please download and print the Gift Form (PDF) and mail it in with your cheque. Please make your cheque in favour of: "National University of Singapore" and mail it in

GIRO

To set up a GIRO payment service to make your recurring gift, please download and print an application for Interbank GIRO form (PDF) and mail it in.

The GIRO payment service is offered free of charge to you.

Shares or securities

Securities refer to any type of financial contract that can be assigned a value and traded, including stocks, bonds and unit trusts.

NUS welcomes you to show your support in the form of securities. They may be issued by any reputable institution, either Singaporean or foreign. Our only condition is that they be readily tradable, and convertible to cash. Securities are recognised at their value on the date they are received.

Real estate

Some gifts of real estate may be sold to release their value in order to fulfil the purpose of the gift. Others may be preserved as valuable additions to the University's landholdings.

Planned giving

There is no finer way to identify your life and work with the vision of NUS than to make a planned gift when conducting your estate planning. Planned gifts may take many forms, all of which allow you to enjoy benefits today:

• Bequests
• Charitable trusts  
• Retained life estates

In each case, you have every flexibility to defer fulfilment of your gift until any future date, including after the lifetime of your dependents.
