Chow E-Fung, Stefen Logistics/Gear

Stefen loves the constant self-evaluation that takes place throughout long mountaineering expeditions. A graduate from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Stefen was working as a Sales Engineer with a multinational company before giving up his job for this once-in-a-lifetime dream.
Stefen’s has been in charge of the team’s equipment since the onset of this program, from working with other team members and businesses to secure the best equipment, to the equipments constant maintenance through these training expeditions and negotiating it’s safe transport all over the world.
He was able to juggle his passion for the outdoors and academics on top of a vibrant student lifestyle. As an active student, he took on choir, marketing, and volunteer work as well as other leadership roles, which allowed him to broaden his outlook on life. His philosophy in life is to “learn constantly, from whatever situations” and being able to adapt well to multiple situations.
He attributes his ability to keep his hectic life in check by staying consistently positive, and his peers and colleagues often find him a vocal and loyal friend who is not afraid of finding humor in his own mistakes.
In his free time, Stefen can be found brushing up on his photographic skills, as well as giving motivational talks to schools and companies. He also spends considerable time cleaning his pet chinchillas’ cage and trying to document their erratic behavior over time.
