Japanese Level I
This course is for people who are planning in the end to sit for Japanese Language Proficiency Test. This course introduces new method of teaching and learning the language based on the teacher's rich experiences and new technique, eg using PC to key in Hiragana, Katakana and even to be converted to Kanji (characters). Basic Japanese expressions and grammar will be taught.
Contents
- Japanese letters, Hiragana, Katakana and simple Kanji
- Understanding basic sentence structures
- Simple conversation: shopping, consulting doctors and ordering foods
- Asking directions, transportation and time
- Simple statement of daily life
- Japanese culture, events, foods from old days to modern trend
Teaching Method
Visual and sound assisted by PowerPoint materials and other new technical systems will be introduced other than general classroom teaching. Students also will be introduced to relevant website for self-learning.
