Bahasa Indonesia Level III

Designed as a continuation of the basic level, the module 3 syllabus covers a wide area of study which will dramatically improve student skills in reading, speaking, writing and listening. Reading and speaking skills are the mainstay in this module. Through improved reading abilities, students can effectively broaden their vocabulary and get used to different writing styles. Short stories and short articles are introduced in this module, as well as some simple documentaries and films. Students will also learn more about Indonesian affixes and learn to construct more complex sentences in this module. Among the topics are:

• Indonesian short stories
• Listening comprehension
• Business letters
• Colloquial Indonesian (slang words, jargons)
• Indonesian culture (documentary films)

Completion of the module 2 or pre-course assessment is required before joining this level.
