Certificate in English Language (Intermediate I & II)

The Intermediate course is designed for students with a working knowledge of English, but who need more practice to use it correctly. The focus is to consolidate their knowledge of the language and to boost their confidence in using it in a wider variety of social and practical situations.

This course is divided into three components:

Integrated Skills
This is the main component of the course, and grammar is an important feature here. Reading, writing, speaking and listening skills are developed through an array of interesting themes. Students will be taught the correct usage of English in many functional and practical areas. Exercises in speech and pronunciation will also feature in this component of the course.

Literature and Reading Skills
Specially selected texts will be used to develop reading and comprehension skills, and to nurture an interest in reading and an enjoyment of English literature.

Oral Confidence
Students will learn to present their ideas clearly and express themselves appropriately in a variety of situations.
