NEC-3M Workshop 2005 (26th to 28th Jan 2005)
NUS Entrepreneurship Centre (NEC) and 3M Technologies (3M) collaborated on a program on Managing Innovation in Secondary Schools. This program aimed to introduce participants to the key concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as develop an appreciation of the best practices of innovation leader, 3M, in nurturing innovation and achieving growth and excellence.
This program was designed with the needs of educators in mind, especially those with an interest in building capacity and processes for innovation in their schools. It emphasized the significance of nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship and innovation among the Singapore secondary school community. The program studied how an innovative idea can be exploited to bring product or service successfully into the market. In this regard, issues pertaining to management and organization as well as broader implications of socio-economic environment and competition were addressed. The program hi-lighted, with role-playing game and interesting case studies, the best practices of 3M, which is well reputed for leadership in innovation.
There were a total of 30 educators from various secondary schools and was held on 26th to 28th January 2005 at Deyi Secondary School.
