| Description: |
As Deputy Director of the NUS Entrepreneurship Center (NEC), you are expected to develop a strategic vision to position NEC as a one-stop innovation and start-up eco-system for new ventures and enterprises, both locally and overseas. With your prior experience working in small companies and an appreciation of the creation process of new ventures, you will assist the Director to develop new initiatives and implement entrepreneurship policies in NEC, as well as advise NUS staff, students and alumni on matters pertaining to starting new business ventures. A key part of your role would involve leading a team in the day-to-day operations of the centre, which includes helping NUS spin-offs and start-up companies raise seed funding; supporting, incubating and nurturing new businesses, as well as overseeing the success of the NUS overseas business centre.

Requirements:
|
- Degree, preferably postgraduate in Business Policy Management/Engineering/Technology
- At least 10 years’ experience in high-level management/Engineering/Business Consultancy
- Expertise in business development, marketing and finance strategies & implementation
- Experience in technology start-up ventures and/or fund raising
- Knowledge of local and international legislation/standards/codes of practice on business development
- Demonstrated ability to work well with different groups – students, faculty and young entrepreneurs – would be an added advantage

Associate Director |
| Description: |
As Associate Director in the NUS Entrepreneurship Centre (NEC), you will develop strategies for creating and identifying deal flows for new venture creations. You will help grow NUS start-ups through mentorship and investment facilitation. A key part of your role would involve increasing the pipeline of NUS spin-offs by working with our Industry Liaison Office to proactively identify and groom key NUS sources of innovation as well as external sources. You will also serve on the board of directors of selected ETP-invested NUS start-ups. You should be able to build and manage relationships with external key stakeholders such as the VC/angel investment community and government funding agencies.

Requirements:

- Technical degree, preferably postgraduate, in Science/Computer Science/Engineering or Technology
- At least 7 -10 years’ experience in InfoComm Technology with investments, incubation or startup operational knowledge

| Description: |
You will work closely with students, NUS staff, and alumni, to develop commercialization plans for NUS technologies. You will provide advice and assistance to support aspiring NUS entrepreneurs, liaise with government agencies for grants and seed funding, and also work with VCs and external investors to raise funding for our incubatees.
Your responsibilities include managing programs which fund student ventures, as well as incubating and mentoring young entrepreneurs and startups.

| Description: |
You will be responsible for managing and commercializing NUS inventions. You will evaluate patentability and commercial potential of new inventions and liaise closely with NUS inventors and patent attorneys to manage patent applications and other forms of IP protection. You will promote, market and commercialize NUS inventions. You will also advise and assist NUS community on all matters pertaining to IP protection, management and licensing. You are also expected to work closely with lawyers, principal investigators and external collaborators on research agreements.

- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science / Physical Science / Life Science / Material Science / Engineering
- Ability to appreciate the current state of technological developments in science & research
- Possess business development/marketing experience/appreciation of industry value chain preferably in Environmental Engineering in relation to Building & Construction OR Material Science/Nanotechnology applications OR Information Technology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good Project Management Skill - tenacity, ability to prioritize and keep track of various activities/projects
- Motivated and matured
