CLOSING CEREMONY OF GLOBAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP WEEK 2008
23 Nov 2008
Good afternoon and welcome to the closing of Global Entrepreneurship Week, or The Week in short. And what a successful week this has been! Since last Monday, we have had some 11,000 participants taking part in 40 events across Singapore. Age has no limits when it comes to being an entrepreneur - our youngest participant was 8, while oldest was close to 60. We also managed to reach out to many more people through approximately 50 media articles, broadcasts and online blogs and websites. With Singapore joining 74 other countries in The Week, the total number of events organized surpassed 11,400, with literally millions of people from around the world celebrating entrepreneurship.
