The quality and quantity of research NUS continues to grow rapidly over the years. Some highlights of 2011 are :
- Close to 2,100 Research Active Faculty.
- Over 6,600 papers published in internationally refereed journals.
- External research grants awarded close to S$425 million.
- Over 2,200 on-going projects.
- Close to 260 research collaborative agreements were signed.
- 361 patents filed and 48 patents granted.
- 278 invention disclosures.
