AI.SG is a new, whole-of-nation initiative involving six agencies: the National Research Foundation (NRF), the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office, the Economic Development Board, the Infocomm Media Development Authority, SGInnovate and Integrated Health Information Systems.
The AI.SG programme is chaired by Professor Ho Teck Hua, Deputy President (Research and Technology) at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
AI.SG is a key thrust of Singapore’s Smart Nation endeavour and will first focus on finance and insurance, healthcare and wellness, and smart city solutions. The programme's key activities include addressing grand/national challenges that affect society and industry, investing in deep capabilities to catch the next wave of scientific innovation, and increasing translation and commercialisation.
