Internal grant funding

NUS places great emphasis in recruiting, nurturing and retaining talented researchers. The University has put in place a number of schemes funded through internal sources aimed at achieving this objective. Support is available in the form of start-up funding which enables new staff to jump start and build their research base, young investigator awards targeted at budding individuals, and cross-disciplinary funding which encourages the synergy of ideas and promotes the generation of pilot data. This aims to help investigators develop projects to a level which will allow them to compete for funding from external funding bodies.
