The East Asia and Pacific Summer Institutes for U.S. Students (EAPSI) is a programme administered by the Office of International Science and Engineering (OISE) at the National Science Foundation (NSF). The primary goal of EAPSI is to introduce U.S. students to science, engineering and research activities undertaken at East Asian and Pacific universities and/or research institutions. It is hoped that this exposure will help these students initiate scientific relationships that will enhance future collaborations with their foreign counterparts.
In Singapore, the programme is headed by the National Research Foundation, and NUS is one of the host universities.
Please refer to the Program Guidelines available at National Science Foundation website. The Singapore handbook for EAPSI can be found here.
The call is usually in November of each year. The outcome would be made known in March of the following year.
NUS has hosted 46 interns since 2008.Please click here to see the list of past interns
