Waste Management
Recycling waste is the most basic thing that any institution should do to manage it’s environmental impacts. NUS is actively involved in recycling paper, plastics, cans, organic food waste, printer toners and cartridges, handphones. However, there is still plenty of room to extend and consolidate the current recycling infrastructure as NUS produced over 2800 tonnes of waste in 2008 and recycled only about 390 tonnes.
