InterHall Environmental Awards Competition

Introduction

The InterHall Environmental Awards is a yearly award that seeks to engage the Halls to reduce NUS environmental impacts and to cultivate socially responsible citizens amongst the hall residents.

Besides measuring the Halls’ environmental footprint via electricity and water usage, halls will also be assessed on their eco project(s) based on active engagement of the Hall residents in raising the awareness of the environment.

The top 3 Halls will be awarded with prize money to the Students Activities Account to encourage further environmental projects among the students. There are 3 judging criteria:
Award Component Percentage Score
Improvement in Electricity Consumption 40
Improvement in Water Consumption 20
“Eco projects” undertaken by Hall residents 40
Total 100
