Registration
Please read the following before you proceed to register your attendance for Commencement 2013.
Step 1: Check your Eligibility
The following students are eligible for Commencement in 2013:

Undergraduate and graduate coursework students who successfully fulfill graduation requirements and are conferred the degrees in
- Special Term of AY2011/2012
- Semesters 1 and 2 of AY2012/2013

Graduate research students who are conferred the degrees from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013 (both dates inclusive)
Please refer to the additional information below for more details on your eligibility for Commencement.
Step 2: Register your Attendance
The online attendance registration system for Commencement 2013 opens from 12 December 2012 to 12 June 2013*.
- If you have been conferred your degree from July 2012 onwards, please register your attendance now.
- For those who have completed their degree requirements by the end of Semester 1 AY2012/2013, please register after the release of your examination results or upon receiving your conferment letter.
- If you expect to complete all degree requirements in Semester 2 AY2012/2013, please register from 1 March 2013 onwards.
* As the seat numbers are computer-generated, those who do not register their attendance online by 12 June 2013 will not be seated or be presented with their cohort.
Step 3: Order your Academic Dress
After registering your attendance for the Commencement ceremonies, please proceed to order your Academic Dress. The online ordering for the Academic Dress will be available from 15 March to 12 June 2013.

Step 4: Settle Outstanding Fees (if any)
If you have any outstanding fees with the University, you are required to settle them before Commencement or your conferment letter, degree scroll and/or transcript will be withheld.
You may check your outstanding amounts owing to the University via myISIS or email to Office of Financial Services at ofnbox3@nus.edu.sg. Alternatively, you may approach the following offices for enquiries and payments:

Change of earlier decision to graduate
For students sitting for the Semester 2 Examinations, please inform your home Faculty (Dean's Office) should you change your earlier decision on graduation within 3 calendar days of the online release of examination results for your Faculty.

Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences
Students from Cohort 2000 and after will be awarded one (1) degree only – either a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA) or an Honours degree. The BA degree, once conferred, cannot be rescinded. Students who have received the BA degree cannot return to NUS to do their Honours. Students who have filed for BA but are eligible to continue with the Honours programme; and wish to continue to read their Honours, MUST retract their file for graduation within 3 calendar days from the date of release of their examination results.
For FASS students who are graduating with BA Shared-Major or Double-Major in two subjects, please note that you will be scheduled to attend the Commencement Ceremony for the subject listed as Major 1.
You can check which subject is your Major 1 by viewing your GAPS Summary at the Graduation and Academic Planning System website. Should you need to change your Major 2 to Major 1, please write to FASS Dean's Office through fashelp@nus.edu.sg no later than 12 June 2013.
NUS Business School
Graduating BBA/BBA(Acc.) students who obtain a Cumulative Average Point of at least 3.5 in their graduating semester will be eligible for admission into the BBA/BBA(Acc.) Honours Programme. Such students who wish to pursue the BBA/BBA(Acc.) Honours Programme are to inform the Dean's Office (via email to Mr Chew Jian Dee at bizcjd@nus.edu.sg) of their intention within 3 calendar days from the online release of exam results. Failing which, it is assumed that they do not wish to pursue the BBA/BBA(Acc.) Honours Programme. No late request will be considered. [Students who opt to pursue the BBA/BBA(Acc.) Honours Programme will not be awarded a BBA/BBA(Acc.) (non-honours) degree. Students who had rejected the offer for admission into the BBA/BBA(Acc.) Honours Programme previously will not be considered again.]
School of Design & Environment
Architecture 4th year students who decide to exit the Concurrent Degree Programme at the end of Semester 2, AY2012/13 must inform the Dept of Architecture (akilhl@nus.edu.sg) by 12 June 2013 in order to register for Commencement 2013. Presently, students are not expected to graduate and consequently, are not eligible to register for Commencement.

Students who are on Exchange or Joint programmes with partner universities
For students who have participated in any exchange or joint programmes with partner universities, it is important that you check with your faculty/school to ensure that your credits are transferred back to NUS before 12 June 2013 in order to be eligible for conferment by 30 June 2013 and for Commencement in 2013.

Failure to meet graduation requirements/Failure to upload your thesis to the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertation by 12 June 2013
In the event that you fail to graduate, or for graduate students, you fail to upload your thesis to the Digital Library of Theses and Dissertation by 12 June 2013, your registration of attendance for Commencement 2013 and order of academic dress will become void automatically. Please note that successful registration of attendance for Commencement does NOT serve as a confirmation that you have successfully fulfilled graduation requirements.
