Order of Proceedings

The Chancellor will preside at the Main Ceremony (i.e. the first ceremony to be held).  Each ceremony thereafter will be presided over by one of the following:

  • Pro-Chancellor 

  • NUS President 

  • NUS Board of Trustees

  • Dean of Faculty

The proceedings during each ceremony will be as follows:

*The duration for each ceremony is usually about two hours, estimated based on 400 graduates in a ceremony.

The Hall will open one hour before the start time of the ceremony for guests and graduates admission.  All graduates and guests are to be seated at least 20 minutes before the start time.

The ceremony will start on time.  Graduates and guests who are late for the ceremony will not be allowed to enter the hall once the ceremony commences.
