Congratulations Class of 2008!

Order Your Gown The NUS Co-op offers both the sale and rental of Academic Dress for Commencement 2008. The online ordering for the Academic Dress will be available from 15 March to 30 May 2008, 12 noon. Payments for the purchase and rental of the Academic Dress will be made upon collection. After submitting your order, please print a copy of the online order form and present it when you collect the Academic Dress. Graduates who miss the online ordering deadline can go to the Academic Dress Distribution Centre to order and collect the Academic
Dress on the spot.

Above rates are for one set of Academic Dress and applicable to only current-year graduates.


Payment

For self-collection, payment can be made in cash and through NETs at the Multi-purpose Sports Hall 1, Sports & Recreation Centre. Payment must be made on the day you collect the Academic Dress.

For Home Delivery order, payment by cheque must reach us by 2 June 2008 or your request for Home Delivery will be treated as cancelled.


Collection of Academic Dress

Please check the collection schedule for your degree/ceremony.

The Academic Dress will be distributed at the Multi-purpose Sports Hall 1, Sports & Recreation Centre, from 25 June to 30 June 2008. Distribution hours are:
Gown Distribution @ MPSH 1
Monday to Friday 10am to 8pm
Saturday 9am to 8pm
Sunday Closed

If you are unable to collect your Academic Dress personally, you may appoint someone to collect on your behalf. You will need to download and complete the Collection Authorization Form (71 KB) and the authorized person must present:

  • The duly completed and signed Collection Authorization Form
  • Your original Matriculation Card or a copy of your Matriculation Card/ NRIC/ Passport
  • The authorized person’s NRIC/ Passport

If you have missed the Gown Distribution Period (25 to 30 June 2008) at MPSH1:

  • Please note the following venue(s) for you to collect the Invitation Package and buy/rent the academic dress. Kindly present your matriculation card during the collection for verification and/or processing.

    • For those who have registered online their attendance for the commencement ceremony and ordered academic dress online

      Collection is either at NUS Co-op @ Forum from 4 to 14 July 2008 or at University Cultural Centre on the day of your ceremony. Size reservations for purchase orders are no longer available. Stocks and sizes are issued on first-come-first-serve basis.


    • For those who have missed the deadline for registration to attend the commencement ceremony or for ordering the academic dress:

      Collection is either at NUS Co-op @ Forum from 4 to 14 July 2008 or University Cultural Centre on the day of your ceremony. Stocks and sizes are issued on first-come-first-serve basis.


    • For those who have registered to attend the commencement ceremony and already have the academic dress.

      Collect your Invitation Package at University Cultural Centre on the day of your ceremony.

Delivery Service

We can arrange to deliver the Academic Dress to you within the main island of Singapore at a charge of $10.70 (inclusive of 7% GST). The option for Home Delivery is given in the online order form.

The Academic Dress will be packaged with your Graduate Attendance Card and two invitation cards for your guests.

The deadline for request of Home Delivery is 30 May 2008, 12 noon.


Return of Rented Academic Dress

You may return the Academic Dress immediately after your Commencement ceremony. NUS Co-op will have a counter to process such returns at the Commencement centre. Your deposit will be refunded to you in a crossed cheque within 60 days after 24 September 2008, provided the Academic Dress is returned without damages.

After Commencement, you may return the Academic Dress with the rental receipt to NUS Co-op @ Forum, from 20 to 24 September 2008, 9.30am to 7pm on weekdays, and 9.30am to 3pm on Saturday. Your deposit will be refunded in a crossed cheque to you on the spot provided the Academic Dress is returned without damages.

If you are unable to return the Academic Dress personally, you may authorize someone to return it on your behalf. Please download and complete the Return Authorization Form (PDF, 92KB) if you wish to do so. The authorized person must produce the completed form when returning the Academic Dress.
