How To Share My Outlook Calendar

Outlook Calendar allows one to keep track of the various activities, e.g. meetings, appointments etc.

You can grant others the permission to view or update your calendar. To do so, for the owner of the Calendar, invoke the configuration via Tools -> Options -> Delegates

Click on Add and specify the person that you want to grant the access to. You should see the following view.

In general, the Delegate Permissions allow you to grant to others access to the various folders. For Calendar, you can specify any of the following:

  • None
  • Review (can read items)
  • Author (can read and create items)
  • Editor (can read, create, and modify items)

That completes the granting of access.

To view others' calendar, one can easily do so by clicking on File -> Open -> Other User's Folder

Type in the user's name and choose Calendar as the Folder.
