Microsoft Outlook without VPN (applicable to Outlook 2003 and above only)
This setting is suitable for use when you are accessing Outlook at home or overseas via a good internet connection (eg. Singnet Broadband) back to NUS without initiating VPN.
If you are accessing Outlook on campus or over VPN, refer to here.
When prompted to configure a new Outlook Profile, select the following.
Specify to connect via Microsoft Exchange Server.
Enter pbx01.stf.nus.edu.sg as the Server name. Type in your Exchange userID in the "User Name" field. Uncheck "Use Cached Exchange Mode".
Click on More Settings... Outlook will try to connect to the Exchange Server, which may timeout and prompt an error. If that happens, click OK followed by Cancel for the following 2 screens to continue.
Select the Connection tab. Select Connect to my Exchange mailbox using HTTP and click on Exchange Proxy Settings...
Configure the various options as below:
Click OK until it is completed. Outlook is now ready for use.
