Placing an Order

  1. A deposit of S$50 is required at time of placing an order for the notebook. The deposit will not be refunded if cancellation of order or change of notebook model takes place 1 business day after date of order. (E.g. Order made on 1 Aug 2011 but cancel on 2 Aug 2011, no refund will be made).

  2. Loan (or submission) starts from 1 August 2011 onwards.

  3. Second purchase will start from 1 September 2011.

  4. Collect Notebooks at ITCoop@YIH.

  5. For cash-and-carry, you may pay by cash, cheque or NETS (up to S$2,000).

  6. Hitachi Loan at ITCoop@YIH. To apply for Hitachi Loan, you must place an order at ITCoop@YIH. Apply direct to:

    Business hours: 9.00am to 5.45pm (Mondays to Fridays).

    If you are applying for NUS notebook computer loan and top-up loan from Hitachi, you must obtain your NUS loan approval first before you request for Hitachi loan.

  7. Student must first be matriculated and then he/she can place a notebook order with IT Co-op before booking online an appointment for processing loan application and submission.

  8. Students are required to walk into IT Co-op to book appointment after 15 August 2011.

How To Apply For Financial Assistance

  1. For NUS interest-free loan, rules and regulations go to this website.

  2. For Vendor's Finance Lease Plan, apply direct to HITACHI CAPITAL SINGAPORE PTE LTD, 111 SOMERSET ROAD #11-05, SINGAPORE.

  3. Book an appointment time slot at Website. If you are prompted to login for Name and password, do as what is stated earlier. Booking starts on 25 July 2011 to 10 August 2011. From 15 August 2011, please go to ITCoop@YIH for appointment booking.

  4. "NUS Student Notebook Computer Loan Agreement and Loan Form", (will be printed by the ITCoop Staff on the day of appointment). Student and Guarantor's original documents (NRIC, Passport, Visitor/Student Passes, and matriculation card) must be presented to IT Coop@YIH on the day of appointment. Your guarantor must be present to sign the documents and witnessed by the NUS Co-op staff.
