Import Data from WebPages Using Excel
 

To import data from webpage using MS Office Excel 2007, click the Data menu > From Web button:



Enter URL on the address bar, and click “Go” to display the web page. Click the arrow next to the table that you want to import, and then select “Import”:



Enter the worksheet where you want data to appear, and then click "OK":



There you have it! You should be able to see the tabular data appearing on the worksheet as specified in the dialogue box above:



If you need to re-synch the data with the page contents, just click Data > Refresh All:



Here are some benefits of using this method over copy-paste:

  1. It is error free and you won’t have to worry about accidentally missing out on a row or a column.
  2. You can refresh or synch the data by the click of a button.
