1. What is SMS@NUS?

SMS@NUS is a set of services that can be accessed using SMS. For now, you can retrieve your examination result and commencement seating number via SMS@NUS.


2. How do I use SMS@NUS?

To use the system you need to be a student of NUS. Simply use your phone to send SMS and access your information on the move.


3. Which number should I send the SMS to?

You should send your SMS to 78277.


4. What is the amount I need to pay for the use of SMS?

You will need to pay the usual amount for the SMS sent or received. Rates on SMS usage will depend on the mobile plan that you have subscribed with your service provider.


5. Is the SMS syntax case-sensitive?

The syntax you send is NOT case-sensitive.


6. Can I access the service overseas?

You can access the service overseas only if you are on roaming. You can send your message to 78277. Please contact your mobile service provider for enabling roaming.


7. Is there any encryption when I try to send or receive message via SMS?

For SMS, text messages are not encrypted.


8. I'm a PostGraduate, why is there no CAP in my SMS reply?

CAP is only available for UnderGraduate. PostGraduate will not have CAP displayed in their SMS.


9. How many SMS will I receive if I took many modules?

You will receive a few SMS if your examination results consist of more than 160 characters.
