Initiate Live Meeting From Outlook
- To install the Microsoft Conferencing (Live Meeting) Add-in for Outlook, download and install it here.
Note that the add-in is only necessary for the meeting requestor and not for all other attendees. Neverthless, all attendees and requestor must have Live Meeting installed.
Restart Outook once after the installation of the add-in has completed. You will be prompted to enable the Add-in, therefore you will need to restart outlook again.

After Outlook is restarted the second time, you should see a new button available - Schedule a Live Meeting.

Click on Schedule a Live Meeting, Outlook will create a re-configured meeting request that has certain information embedded into the message body as shown below. You should not make changes to the pre-defined message, but you can pre-pend your own message at the top of the message body.

Proceed to send the email after composing the meeting request properly.
An entry will be there in your Outlook calendar. All participants can then click on the Join the meeting link when the meeting time is due to login to the same virtual meeting space via the Live Meeting client.
You may have noticed that there are the Meeting ID, Entry code and Location embedded in the message. This allows anonymous users from Gmail, for example, to attend the online meeting though the user may not have a NUSNET ID and password. The user may just launch the Live Meeting client, key in the 3 information and click on Join to connect to the online meeting.
