NUS Stage

  • NUS Stage

A group of drama enthusiasts, with a common dream of living and breathing theatre, gathered. In October 2006, the dream crystallized and the drama enthusiasts founded the then Varsity Drama. The society had its first theatrical production, "Cat and Mouse", before it was officially accepted as a member of NUS Centre For the Arts and has since been renamed as NUS Stage.

Some of our recent productions include The Good, the Bad and the Sholay at the NUS Arts Festival 2011 and Shifting Sands at the ExxonMobil Campus Concerts 2011.

NUS Stage has a current strength of 34 members. Small and humble, the society taps on the talents and passion of like-minded students in the University.

At present, NUS Stage is on the constant and active search for theatrical repertoires such as drama workshops, performances and other escapades. We also pride ourselves as the platform of opportunities for students – whether it is directing, acting, backstage, scriptwriting or stage managing.

As a relatively new society, NUS Stage hopes to stage annual productions. To source for the best talents around the campus, NUS Stage also hold auditions regularly in search of cast and crew for any upcoming productions.
