ExxonMobil Campus Concerts Crew
The ExxonMobil Campus Concerts series is proudly supported by a dynamic team of undergraduates who relish the challenge and thrills of working behind the scenes. The free admission EMCC performances are held every week during the January - March and August - October seasons.
Other than being a great way to make new friends, the EMCC experience enriches crew by providing exposure to the action behind the scenes, opportunities to get up close and personal with professional artistes and invaluable on the job training in various capacities.
The EMCC Crew are exposed to various areas of arts events and productions including:
- Production Manager
- Stage Manager
- Backstage
- Sound and Lighting
- Front-of-House (FoH)
- Marketing and Publicity
- Photography & Videography
- Artist Liaison

What our EMCC Crew would like to share with you:
"From the technical set-up and coordination with professional artistes, to the liasion between different performance venues and large-scale crowd control - these are not things an average student in NUS will get to experience everyday."
– Michelle Lim, Production Manager, ExxonMobil Campus Concerts (EMCC) Crew, 2008 – 2011
Faculty of Science, Dept of Chemistry, Year 4
"In class, interaction is limited to close friends or project mates. In the working world, we need to communicate with all kinds of people - from supervisors to colleagues, customers and subordinates. Being on the EMCC crew provides us with new and different responsibilities which help us explore our talents outside the classroom."
– Tjokro Gunawan, Production Manager, ExxonMobil Campus Concerts (EMCC) Crew, 2008 – 2011
Faculty of Engineering, Dept of Bioengineering, Year 3
"It's an opportunity you'll never find anywhere else. I know that it may sound like I'm exaggerating, but I couldn't think of a better platform to learn production planning and stage management for free, other than in the ExxonMobil Campus Concerts (EMCC). Their annual opening show this year, Timbre MusicFest on Campus, thoroughly exposed me to the professional arts scene, which would be a great benefit for those considering a career in the arts scene."
– Abram Komara, Production Manager, ExxonMobil Campus Concerts (EMCC) Crew, 2008 – 2012
Faculty of Science, Dept of Mathematics, Year 4
