NUS Dance Synergy
NUS Dance Synergy strives to promote dance as a modern art form that incorporates elements of jazz, modern, lyrical and contemporary dance. Under the artistic direction of its Resident Choreographer, Mr. Fan Dong Kai and Technique Tutor, Mr Albert Tiong, its enthusiastic and dedicated dancers have been consistently able to showcase challenging and interesting dance pieces.
NUS Dance Synergy has also been actively involved in expanding their repertoire of original works that seek to challenge the boundaries of expression in movement, and that constantly evoke feelings in those watching. The group has been actively involved in the arts scene, having performed in various schools and also in public. Its works have received top prizes in competitions and have been lauded at various international and local events.
NUS Dance Synergy's inclusive spirit has always strived to foster a warm, welcoming environment that allows new or inexperienced dancers to grow and learn. This spirit is an enduring aspect of the group, and its intention to encourage everyone and anyone to take up dancing is an integral part of the group's philosophy.
NUS Dance Synergy presented Hereafter as the closing show of the NUS Arts Festival 2012 which won the Event of the Year Award at the Tan Ean Kiam Arts Awards 2012.
Hereafter: A moment of disaster, a year of recovery, a lifetime of strength, hope and love...
