NUS Dance Synergy strives to promote dance as a modern art form that incorporates elements of jazz, modern, lyrical and contemporary dance. Under the artistic direction of its Resident Choreographer, Mr. Fan Dong Kai and Technique Tutor, Ms Silvia Yong, its enthusiastic and dedicated dancers have been consistently able to showcase challenging and interesting dance pieces.

NUS Dance Synergy has also been actively involved in expanding their repertoire of original works that seek to challenge the boundaries of expression in movement, and that constantly evoke feelings in those watching. The group has been actively involved in the arts scene, having performed in various schools and also in public. Its works have received top prizes in competitions and have been lauded at various international and local events.

NUS Dance Synergy's inclusive spirit has always strived to foster a warm, welcoming environment that allows new or inexperienced dancers to grow and learn. This spirit is an enduring aspect of the group, and its intention to encourage everyone and anyone to take up dancing is an integral part of the group's philosophy.

Participating in the NUS Arts Festival as the closing event, NUS Dance Synergy brings you Hereafter on the 25th of March 2012, 8pm at UCC Hall.

A moment of disaster, a year of recovery, a lifetime of strength, hope and love...

About Hereafter

On March 11, the tragic 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami shook the world and left Japan in shambles. Through contemporary dance, NUS Dance Synergy will reminisce the turmoil, sorrow and struggle of Japan.
